I thought you sounded like an old soul - and I mean that in a complimentary
way. I agree that it is a good jumping off place for the Canfields and look
forward to knowing what else has been researched on the Canfields. I am
anxious, now, to see what your books bring. I also applaud you for keeping
the faith, so to speak, with your research all these years.
I tried about a year ago to sign up for the Canfield Association - but I
found later that that was the year that the newsletter editor and holder of
records took time off. I read here that she is probably back in service
again. Do you have any idea she's fully back and if I can sign up for the
newsletter again - or? I would love to help with the computerization of the
information she has, but I also have read here that she won't give the
papers out to others for transcription assistance because of their value,
etc. I don't blame her, but its too bad another way can't be found to
assist her. Take care. Sandy

Subject: Re: [CANFIELD] ROSE CANFIELD COLLECTION
Sandy--yes, Rose Canfield collection is "old", but good
background
database. Much more has been found since then, that was my only point.
It is a good "starting" point.
About 5 years ago, I did 46 different surname booklets which are in the
LDS database, they bought them, I think 5-8 on Canfield surname.
I also contributed to the Canfield Family Association, but I understand
no one wants to computerize that info. Some of us have been at this for
over 30 years now, and what they have would seem overwhelming to try to
input. Unfortunately???!!! you reach a point of having TOO MUCH.
