There was a copy of a letter written to my husband's parents (Richard John Canfield
+Victoria) in 1942 from Mabel (Canfield) Sanderson that gives some of this information.
She offers them the family history that she has been working on, because she says in it
that "your father is the only one of us to have children". This means that
Clarence Grant Canfield had siblings, but he was the only one of them to have children.
I sure would like to know what happened to that family history!
I also received the SS application for Clarence Grant Canfield, which listed his parents.
That means his father was John Mosher Canfield, not John Moses, like I had been told.
Thank you!
