Hello PJ and Ron -- I'm adding another voice here to the MINOR
CANFIELD
commentary. I have a Minor Canfield in my family line too.
I have him listed as son to HEZEKIAH CANFIELD & Mary (Rowley) w/ birth
date
of 4 Jan.1805, d. 8 Aug. 1861.M. Jane Buchanan Early on 18 Feb. 1829
in
Ripley Co., IN. where they lived for a number of years. I have him in
Ripley Co., IN in 1835 and later in Franklin Co.,IN in 1850 census.
Just to add to the confusion, I also have listed an A.B. CANFIELD (Aaron
Burr), s. of Platt & Mary (Read) Canfield, b. 14 Marych 1814 and d. 22 May
1894. married Sara(Sally) Lee in 1834. 7 ch. Believe he was buried in
Chardon Village, Geauga Co., OH.
Does any of this ring any bells with either of you? Further, I am curious
about your (Chief) Amoriah Bredner Canfield. Who was his parents or how
is
he related to Canfield line.
My information comes from Rose Canfield Collection and I am descended from
Matthew Camfield line. PJ, you have been quite instrumental in helping me
out before -- nice to talk to you again. Sandy Childs in Calif.
