Judy: I am now researching my Canfield in a LDS film called "The Rose
Canfield
Collection" which is a compilation of what I believe are ALL the Canfields
down
from brothers Matthew & Thomas Canfield, circa 1640 in Conn. However, all
their
children, etc., moved around NY and NJ too. I would suggest that you try
to get
ahold of that film and see if you can find your Canfield. One of the films
is
an alphabetized by first name of all generations of Canfields (including
their
offspring to great-great grandchildren). The LDS will be able to help you
find
these films as you may see other films that are more interesting than the
one I
have. I am presuming that there are more than one film to lend out. Happy
hunting. Sandy Childs
