Jan,
My two sons descend from Matthew CANFIELD. Their ancestors migrated
from New Jersey to Crawford County in northwestern Pennsylvania. In
1855 several of the CANFIELDS migrated from Crawford county to Wabasha
County in Minnesota. Waseca is just three counties to the west of
Wabasha County.
I have my sons' CANFIELD family information on my webpage. The
Minnesota connection begins on page
http://members.home.net/sandlier/canfield4.htm. I currently do not see
a connection between your CANFIELD family, but the possibility exists.
I'll add your line to my "future reference" folder.
