Hi William, Sorry, no. I know there must some more brothers of John,
because you can see them as witnesses on the mother's signature for her
underage son, and also in the census. But they all seem to disappear, could
have gone anywhere, since didn't seem to own land in that part of Kentucky.
There is another Kennedy family in the area, too, to add to the confusion
(all though well-documented land-owners.
Just have wondered if there was anything about the pronunciation of either
Scots or Irish that made some turn more towards Canady. If you look in the
Black's Scottish Surnames, you can only find Kennedy, which he gives all
kinds of variations of spelling. Has one Canedie in 1452, and name based on
Gaelic Cinneididh, but that could be either... Linda
