I would agree with that reasoning, totally, Linda. I found a number
of Scots in NC who drew up their own Declaration of Independence for
you know how independent the Scots are from the English. They've never
liked one another - - just like the English and the French. Billie

Billie, I've done a lot of genealogy very successfully, but
these
particular lines are driving me nuts. I also have a West family in
that
same area in Kentucky by 1795, came from Delaware right on border
with
Maryland, I think. But can't come up with much on them, either
(possibly
originally Quakers from Pennsylvania?). Canady is even worse. Think
it
most likely they are either Scot-Irish (Ulterites) or possibly
Scottish. In
a county history, the other Kennedy family in this small county is
reported
to have had their patriarch David immigrate from Scotland itself
before the
Revolution, then participate. Though I can see enough of both
families in
the records to separate one from the other, I cannot find enough to
say they
are either related or not related. Linda
