Greetings! :o)
I have a medieval Kennedy line, which I have mentioned on the Kennedy List
[and will recount here, if anyone wishes], but my friend has a lone Cannady
woman in his lineage, and would like to know more about her:
Margaret Ann CANNADY m 23 Nov 1856 Pike co, MO to George Rason KEITH [his 2nd
of 3 marriages; 9 ch with 1st wife, 10 ch with Margaret, 1 ch with 3rd wife,
the man was busy!] George b 1813 Lexington, KY, moved to Jennings, IN as a
child, moved family to Pike co, MO in 1836, d 1900 prob Pike co, MO. No
dates known on Margaret.
Children of Margaret CANNADY and George KEITH:
George Buckhanan KEITH
Margaret Eliza KEITH d infant
Louisa Carson [or Canton] KEITH
Rachel KEITH
Harvey Thomas KEITH d age 17
Lucinda Catherine KEITH
Tandy Holdman KEITH b 1868 Pike co, MO -- my friend's line
Joseph Shelby KEITH
Omega KEITH -- a girl, and *not* the last child, however much they may
have hoped so <g>
Sylvester Francis KEITH b 5 April 1871
The majority of the children, including Tandy, were married in Pike co, MO,
and probably born there as well. Did Margaret perhaps die in childbirth?
There is a period of over 20 years between the above Sylvester and youngest
child Cornelius Smith KEITH [b 1894, by 3rd wife Sarah Jane (EPPERSON)
SINCLAIR, whom George m 1892]. We would greatly appreciate any info, or
perhaps some guidance in where to look for Margaret [CANNADY] KEITH.. would
census records help, or even be available? Where could we look for
birth/marriage/etc records?
Thanks for taking the time to read,
Alie
