The earliest Cannadays I have found are in the 1600s in Maryland. From
there I have traced them to Virginia and North Carolina and back to
Virginia, but while living in N.C. a number when farther south and somewhere
on I-95 there is a town called "Canaday." Billie in Florida

Hey Sharon,
I will look through some names I have regarding a couple of people who
are
looking for information on your branch of the Canaday's. If I remember
correctly, this all matches the family they were looking for. My
GGrandfather is Milo Frankin(?) Canaday. So far, I am not certain where he
came from (indications are KY and how he migrated to KS is anyone's guess),
but I believe he died in the Tyro, KS area. He married Sarah Lavina Smyth
in Independence, KS in the latter 1800's. There is a possibility this
family may still tie in somewhere with my own branch, but time will tell.
I'll email you with the other information as soon as possible. Good luck!
Candy
