Hello Listers,
I am new to this list I am not sure if there is another Canadian list that
might be more suitable for my question.
I am searching for information on the family BOWMAN. James Alfred was
residing in Gerard St East in Toronto when he joined the army on 1/4/1916.
He was a teamster before he joined the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force
170th battalion and was killed during the war in France. I believe he was
born in Temple Sowerby in Westmoreland 1872.
He left behind his wife, Ethel May (who's maiden name was I believe BAKER.
She was born in England ca 1878) and two small daughters Ida and Maisie.
James and Ethel were married in Canada, possibly Toronto.
I would be very interested to hear from anyone who might have some knowledge
of this family.
Ann
