i just returned from 23 days in italy, of whcih i stayed with relatives in caccumo sicly,
a small town about 60 miles east of palermio, 15 miles south of termmini, famous for their
oldest castle about 2000 yrs old, popluation about 12,000 of which 1/2 are campisi. my
grandfather was frank campisi(1906-1992), his mother was roslie campisi(1885-1911) -
buried there in a huge cemetary in 1911,we saw many many campois graves in the cemtary
there- his dad was salavtore campisi(1980-1965), his dad was luiogie(1860-1928) and his
mother was roslie for nearby city of bisacquinia..in caccumo park, there are 2 plaques to
war local world war 1 and 2 soldiers dead,,again, campisis on both boards, we undertood
that campsis is a common name in that area, sorta like smith or jones, so many are there,
but hard to track past relationships to far back?
i wish u the best of luck
