Hi,
I noticed thebelow Item1. on the India list and contacted the
gentleman who put the entry in, as I was looking into the Campion name
and had been told some of the Campion had been out in India. he kindly
scanned the item, I then looked up the address on the UK 1881 census
Item 2. and let him know what I had found, I am not sure if a connection
to my lot or not, but I thought it would be of interest to the India
and Campion List.
Hope it helps someone!
Hilary.........
Item 1.
Is there anyone out there researching Capt R. W. Campion, C.E.,
Resident Engineer, G.I.P. Railway, Lonavla, India, in 1890.
I collect postal stationery, and I have a postcard to Capt Campion from a
brother or sister (the signature in illegible), concerning their father's
health, their mother's problems, and Aunt Emily. It is written from The
Beacon on 27 Feb 1890 and arrived in Lonavla 16 Mar 1890. If anyone is
interested I can scan and send.
Item 2:
How about this, thought I would check up Derby on the 1881 UK
