No ino on your John Campion. They might be cousins or something to mine.
My William Campion was born abt 1777 at Sharnsford (I'm spelling that from
memory) near Hinckley, Leicestershire, England. He had sons (in this
order): John, Thomas, William. He also had a daughter named Sophia, so the
names are somewhat similar. The other children were named Ann Maria, Eliza,
Mary, and Selina. The entire family emigrated to the U.S. in 1832.
Kind regards,
Karen

Subject: John Campion of Buckinghamshire, England
We're searching for the birth place and ancestors of John Campion
born
around 1776. He lived for most of his life in Chichely, Buckinghamshire
where he was the Clerk of the Parish. He married Ann Blackitt in 1796 and
had 9 children, William, John, Harriett, Lucy, Sophia, Louisa, Robert,
George and Henry. He died about 1852.
On the 1851 census he gives his place of birth as Chichely, but searching
of the
Parish records reveals no such christening of a John Campion.
Does anyone else have any connection or know where he possibly came from?
Kim
