There were three (at least) children of unknown Campion: Matthew,
Michael, and Margaret.
Matthew, b 1830 in Ireland, married Julia Bergin, b 1836 Ireland.
They emigrated to the US via unknown routes and stops.
Lived in Logansport, Indiana, had children: John, Elizabeth, Patrick,
Catherine, Mary, Maggie, Julia, Teresa, Matthew
Michael Campion b. 1825 in Kilkenny, married Mary Kennedy, b. 1822 in
Ireland.
First Son Matthew Elevart Campion b.Nov 9, 1844 in Kilkenny.
Family emigrated to Quebec before Matthew was a year old. (1845)
Son Michael was born in 1848.
Family reportedly moved to Vermont and then to Michigan City, Indiana,
in 1950.
John born about 1859, William Patrick, 1854, Mary 1857, Aloi 1861, all
in Michigan City, Indiana
Margaret Campion, b 1825, in Ireland, Married John Brennan, b 1820,
probably in or near Freshford, Kilkenny.
They may have been married in 1845 in Lisdowney, Kilkenny.
They emigrated in 1846, route and stops unknown. Not found in Famine
Immigrants.
Had children Julia, b. 1850, Massachusetts, Mary Jane, b.1853 Ohio,
Ellen, b 1855 Michigan, Catherine, "Kate"
b 1857, Margaretha, b 1864, Clara, b. 1866, John F., b 1869, Near
Streator, Illinois.
Matthew Elevart Campion became a Catholic Priest. He performed the
Marriage of John F. Brennan, who was his cousin,
and Anastasia Carroll, in Logansport, Indiana
