Tom,
My name is Marty Brennan......your Grandmother Dora was my Grandmother's
sister -- her name was Mary LaChance. I have great memories of your Grandparents
at their place in Boyne Falls.
Our Great-Grandmother, Marie Alexina Campeau did meet our Great Grandfather,
Noe Charboneau in Brimley. Her mother (Caroline Dagenais) had died when she
was 3, her father (Francois Campeau) remarried and she was sent to live in a
convent near Montreal. When she was about 14, her Grandmother Rose (Amiot dit
Villeneuve) Campeau brought her out of the convent. When Rose's health began
to fail, she sent Alexina to Brimley to live with an Uncle, Michel Campeau.
The Campeaus lived on the farm next to the Charboneaus, and the rest, as they
say, is history.
I have a lot more information on the Campeaus and Charboneaus..... please
feel free to contact me and I will be happy to share.
Regards,
Marty Brennan

I am looking for further information on my great-grandmother Marie-Alexina
Campeau. She was married to Noe Henry Charboneau (29-Sept-1880 16-Mar-1966)
on 3-Sept-1901 in Sault Ste. Marie so that might be where they met. They
lived for a while in Brimley (near Sault Ste. Marie, Chippewa, MI, USA and
migrated to the Detroit, MI area in the 1920s. They had 13 children some of
whom still are living so I can't release their names. My grandmother's name
was Dorothy M. Charboneau/Arsenault.
Thanks,
Thom
