I am not sure which Campbell this post is in Reference too but in the Movie
Braveheart, which is fiction in but based on fact and history, there most
certainly is a Campbell, in fact two of them, of that I am 150% sure. I own
the movie and have watched it oh, let's just say 300 hundred times and can
quote it line for line, so can my children. Historical facts also state that
the Campbell's did ride with Wallace.
Thank You
Rhonda

Dear Patti,
In Braveheart where Wallace as a youngman goes and lives with Argyll.
This
Argyll is not a Campbell. This is prior to Robert the Bruce and the
leading
power in Argyll at this time was the MacDougals. The Campbells did
not
become the strongest power in Argyll until they helped The Bruce defeat
the
MacDougals a few years before Bannockburn. Campbell is not mentioned
in
Braveheart. None of us should feel ashamed about that film. Wallace
accompished a lot with just a few men and very little help from anyone
else.
This includes his conquering York where he had the largest army of
his
tenure. In almost every battle with England we Scots were vastly
outnumbered
and had inferior weapons. We always had superiop warriors.
