Nancy:
I am sure that we have communicated before and I am just as sure that we may
be kind.
I will use information taken directly from a copy of the, "Sugar Tree Grove
Presbyterian Church" record, (1838 - 1948). Such is a hand written record,
titled;
REGISTER
of the
UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
of
Henderson, Ill

Pittsburgh
United Presbyterian Board of Publication

Jane Ritchey Campbell b. 1789 in Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA is a
daughter of Adam Ritchey and Abigail Dill. Adam Ritchey was the second of
two Elders of the church ordained in 1831. John & Jane Ritchey Campbell
were entered on the church, Communicants Record, as 95 & 96 in 1833. (Jane
is a granddaughter of Adam Ritchie & Agness Nancy Bolton)
John Campbell poses more of a question. Note; the surname spelling of the
early entries are sometimes signed, "Campble".
Children of Jane & John Campbell that appear in the record are not in birth
order as they appear here.
John, James M., Jane, Mark, Ira Grover, Ritchey & Preston are entered in
the church records.
Associated surnames of the children would be.
Reynolds, Moorehead/Morehead, Findley, Rodgers and others.
Thies families were in Wheatfield Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA prior to
statehood in 1803. and appear in the 1810 census of Wheatfield Twp., Indiana
Co., PA. (after statehood).
