http://www.archivesva.com/
A site for the Richmond Times-Dispatch in Virginia. It offers a search
engine for articles - printable with a meager monthly or by-article fee. It
has been incredibly valuable to me for finding obituaries and other info. It
contains articles, text only, back to 1985. They do have options if you wish
to purchase the paper and any photos that are included.
Examples of a search on "Campbell - Obituaries" comes up with over 75
matches. Here are a few....
This is the amount of info the search gives you - from there, if you want
more, you need to purchase the article. Or..go to the library and look it up
in microfilm. Just seemed like one more way to do some of the preliminary
legwork.
