Charleston SC to Chas Cotesworth Pinckney and Chas Drayton, trustees for
above parties property left said Sarah by her father Edward Fenwicke, late
of Charleston SC "one of his legatees". Will of Edward Fenwicke dated Apr 15
1775, bequeathed to his dau. Sarah the middle tenement on Lot 204 in
Charleston with the houses thereon, then in the occupation of Mrs Justin
Savage, 3000lbs sterling and several slaves. According to their marriage
contract with took pace Feb 24 1777 McCartan promised to secure said
property to said Sarah two months after marriage, which he has not done.
