I would love to actually find someone that DOES connect with the Orlando
C. Campbell family listed in this census.
I believe that he is my GGG Uncle. His brother Garrett died in the Civil
War at the battle of Chancellorsville. Orlando also served, see below. I
descend down from Garrett and would love to connect with any descendants
of Orlando Clay Campbell. I have an old civil war era photo that many
family members have not agreed on who is in the photo. Some say it is
Garrett and some say it is his brother....none knew which brother, but
Orlando is the only other one that I know served in that war. I still
have many missing links to Garrett's brother and their descendants. Any
help appreciated.
Thanks, Susan in Indiana, USA

Good evening Deb:
I have been looking for my grandfather from this area with no luck.
His
name
is (was) Dudley W. Campbell and was born in 1871 and married Lucy
Hillenbrand
and had one daughter, Mildred, my mpther. He had 1 brother that I
know of
Clyde< who lived in Youngstown with his wife Gertrude and had one
son,
Robert.
Dudley died in 1942 while living in Niles and was buried in the
Liberty
Cemetary in Girard. But I have not been able to find him anywhere in
the
1880
census. If you find any info please help me.
Thanks for any info, Bob L
