Have you looked on the online passenger lists for NSW and for Victoria?
You might just find something there.(see below)
Also if you go to
Genforum.com and the Australia forum, you can make a
post
labelled "BDM lookup please Gordon", (you will see many
others there I am
sure), and a very wonderful man will look up birth deaths and marriage
records for NSW Vic or SA. He might or might not find what you are looking
for, but it will save you time for sure!
