Michelle,
I have a set of the Census CDs of 1880 that were transcribed by the
Mormons. I did a quick lookup of the John Campbells in Arkansas. There
is a John W. Campbell, age 19, in the Jonesboro, Craighead County
census. The FHL Film is 1254041 and the National Archives Film is
T9-0041, page 393A. His father was Joseph Campbell, age 39, born SC (as
was his father and mother) and his mother is Ellen Campbell, age 35,
born AR (father and mother born IL).
This may not be the person you are looking for, but it is as close as I
could find.

12/30/1868 in abt. 1886. I've been able to trace Rose's family back
through the census records with relative ease, but I'm not sure about John
F. Campbell. I don't have his parent's names, nor do I know any siblings
names. Does anyone have access to marriage books or indexes for this county
to check for this couple? William F. Campbell died May 12, 1909 and is
buried in the Gibson Cemetery in Craighead County. I've looked for an obit,
but was unsuccessful.
