Larry, you are right. Aeneas Campbell, Jr. had a son John Wesley Campbell b.
27 May 1787 who married Elizabeth Holman in Lincoln County, NC 2 November,
1819 - Marriage Bonds, Lincoln County.
In John Wesley Campbell's will dated 9 Oct. 1865 it lists sons, Andrew,
Wesley and other children are mentioned.
In the 1850 census for Lincoln County, John is listed aged 50; Elizabeth wife
aged 40; Levina aged 30; John aged 30; Andrew aged 27; J.W. aged 25; Enos
aged 17. (Lavina aged 30 and John aged 30 - Lavina is Racheal Lavina son of
John and Elizabeth Campbell and John is John D. Campbell b. 1813 - both buried at
St. Matthews Church of Christ, Maiden, NC)
J.W. Campbell listed in the 1850 census aged 25 is John Wesley Campbell who
married Rosanah Campbell daughter of James Campbell and Elizabeth Abernathy.
In the 1880 census for Catawba County he is listed as Web. Children of this
John Wesley and Rosannah Campbell were Enos, James, Polly, Daniel, Rody, Robert
and Isabella.
Re; Milton Campbell, Milton was postmaster at North Iredell Post office at
New Hope in 1832 - is this the County Line Post Office you mention?
Milton's father, Archibald was also a postmaster but in Stokes County.
