A.T., my earliest proven ancestor is George Washington Campbell, b. about
1812. I've read and re-read Phil Norfleet's information on the David (black
and white) Campbells several times; he has done outstanding research on the
lines, but thus far, I've been unable to connect my ancestor. However, the
possibility always exists.
My ancestor did not follow the customary naming patterns, naming his first
two sons Morgan and Woodson (by first marriage), and two by second marriage
Smith (first child) and finally George W. I've no idea why the first three
names, and where they originated.
Thanks for your input, all comments and suggestions are certainly welcome.
