Zelda,
Since George Washington Campbell and Harriet Sloan only had two sons,
Woods, about whom nothing is known after his marriage ca. 1858, and Morgan
(1839-1908) who had no sons named Albert or A.C., there seem to be two other
possibilities.
A.C. (Koonce) could be the child of Louisa's son George W., b. 1855-56. On
the 1880 census he had a son Albert several months old, and
this may be the same child with Louisa, with the census taker using years
rather than months for the age. (I've seen several instances where children
are with two family members on the census records) The other possibility is
that Koonce may be the child of Louisa's only daughter, Manerva (Sarah
Manerva Louisa Caroline) b. 1851, who was not married until about 1888.
Louisa's only other child was my ancestor, Smith C. Alexander Campbell, and
he did not have a child named A.C., or anything similar, I'm reasonable sure
it was not his child.
Such an interesting puzzle; either of the two above assumptions could work,
and the child would have been raised by the Smithey family.
If possible, I would like to have the information of Koonce and Cassie's
children, or anything you can share on that line.
I have a friend, Joe Swift, who is a Norris descendant and has done
tremendous research on the line; I will get in touch with him and see if he
has any additional information.
By way of additional confusing information, Smith Campbell was married
secondly to Mary Ann Martin (Betsy) Campbell, who was the widow of Chesley
Campbell. Chesley was the child of James Campbell and Manvera Hambrick
(Sister to Louisa, his Mother).

Faye,
My father is the baby of Albert and Cassie's 12 kids. He told me he
remembered Morgan, my father is 79 yrs now. He also told me that his dad
was
raised by a family named SMITHEY, as is found on a 1880 Madison
County AL
census.
My question is, if Louisa was his grandmother, which side and
who was
his parents?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Zelda
