We may very well tie in with your John Campbell.
In eastern Kentucky, plus or minus 10 years from 1800, we had two each of
John Campbell.
There is much confusion about these two guys.
One married a Mary Polly Couch and had a brother William who married Mary's
sister, Nancy Ann Couch.
These two brothers appear to come from a Patrick Campbell who married
Elizabeth James.
At the same time in the area, not far from each other, and showing on the
same census records is:
John Campbell, married to Nancy (Unknown) some say Shirley.
This John Campbell appears to be the father of Caleb, Lewis, William, Nancy,
Mary, Martha, John C., Susan, and Sally Campbell. These names are not
carved in stone and could vary.
Caleb is my wife's ggg-grandfather. He married Sarah Frances (Frankey)
Miller.
This John is supposed to be from Shenandoah Valley.
This John is sometimes referred to as Zachariah Campbell or John Zachariah
Campbell.
Does any of this ring a bell?
Jim Robinson, husband of a Campbell
