Please don't feel like you "clutter up the list"! I am
of the opinion
any
genealogical data pertaining to the Campbell's should be
here....that
archives it for all and for the future!!
Thanks...

I've been asked via direct e-mail to clarify my previous message
concerning George Campbell.
I am attempting to compile a database of the name George Campbell and
variations based on census, marriage and death records,
mini-biographies
if you will. The purpose is to put to bed any that can't be
mine! In
order to do that, I need input from all of you that have a George
Campbell in your tree. Specifically I am looking for any information
on
ANY George Campbell born between 1860 and 1870, in Indiana or
Illinois,
now expanded to include Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri. If you can link
your
George Campbell to census of 1870 or 1880 and have any additional
information (marriage, parents, death or subsequent census), please
send
me what you have. I intend to include whatever is available in each
mini-biography. Parents, place of birth, parents place of birth,
children, wives, occupation, death etc.
This will take some length of time to compile, and I'm hopeful you all
will particapate. My reason for doing this is quite simple, my George
was supposedly born in 1864, Indiana/Illinois, not sure which. He
died
by 1904 in KY. If I can weed out any George Campbell's dead or
otherwise occupied after 1899 (when he married my grandmother), I may
find who my granddad's parents were or at least where he really was
from!. I really expect this to take several months, but I already
have
a good start! This data will be free for anyone interested.
Please help out with as little information as you might have. One of
my
Dad's final wishes was to find more about his father, he was 5
when he
died and his mother refused to discuss him.
