To Gayle: Tandy's 40 ac. was sec. was located in the SE quarter of the NW quarter of
sec. 8, in twp.50 in Dover twp. Lafayette (south of the Missouri River. This was entered
7 Sep 1838. On the plat map, date is 6 Jul 1835.

Aaron was the son of Henry Campbell, native of Bedford Co., VA b. 1797, a son of Aaron and
Grace Campbell. They came to MO and settled on sec. 21, Clay Twp. LaFayette Co. Henry m.
Nancy Ashburn of Bedfor d Co., VA. They had 12 children.

To Buck Harris:
The deed of Aaron Campbell to Laura nce Campbell (DB "F" pg. 242, d. 7 Nov 1787,
Amherst Court House, Amherst Co., VA) is definitely Henry Campbell's (1706-1772) son
and my ancestor. The dates of b. and d. for the listed Aaron's above, would not
work. Anyway, further research is needed to find the correct Aaron. He was the eldest of
Henry's children I believe, as Henry named him executor of his will when it was
written. As far as kinship goes between Tandy and the above C's, Tandy's probate
did not list any of them as relatives, so the connection was not deemed close.
