Paul,
Explored that, and no evidence.
My Phineas shows up in 1817 marrying Abigail Brown with no previous history I can find,
yet.
Do have my Phineas militia history (when the meaning of a well-regulated militia had its
real meaning).
He was a hatter, so I'm guessing he went a bit bonkers from the mercury he was using.
Looking for records in the Worcester area for hatter companies.

Leonard,
In the Revolutionary War Pension file for Elijah Kemp, who was living in Massachusetts,
and served from NH, there is the following information given by an older Phineas Campbell,
born probably 1761, or so:
Kemp, Elijah, Massachusetts, Revolutionary War Pension File.? Phineas Campbell, of
Henniker, County of Merrimack, New Hampshire, aged upwards of 73 years, been a resident of
Henniker for more than 65 years, acquainted with Kemp since Rev War, affidavit dated Nov.
20, 1834.
Maybe a connection between the NH Phineas b 1761 and Phineas b 1793, which might connect
with yours through Kemp?
