Lilly,
Yes, George & Elizabeth Campbell's son, John were my ggg-grandparents.
Wasn't Polly Campbell the daughter of George Campbell's brother, John? I
believe that John Campbell (George & Elizabeth's son) and Polly were first
cousins that married. If I am not mistaking, John Campbell was identified
as Polly's father on Polly's Amherst County, VA marriage record to John
Campbell.
John (son of George & Elizabeth) & Polly Campbell migrated to Surry County,
NC and eventually settled in Scott County, VA. The only children that I
have on record were Willis Campbell (my ancestor) and Wyatt Campbell.
Paul (Jack Paul Bess, Jr.)

Hello Mr. Bess,
I don't have the specific Rev War record for him but since he is my
ancestor
as well, I am very interested in your work. Are you descended through his
son John ? Did John marry Polly Campbell 5-18-1801 Amherst Co VA? Do you
know her ancestry? Do you know their children?
Maybe we can work together on this man and discover more about him. I
descend through his son Captain George T. Campbell, Jr who married Eady
Burcher Whitehead.
I am also studying another son, which is Cornelius Campbell, in case it
turns out I am descended from him as well, so far that is not proven.
Best regards,
Lilly Martin
