"Collections of the
New Jersey Historical Society Vol. IX", including the index. You
can view
the book at
http://www.midatlanticarchives.com
This book is free and online. When you open up this website, you will see
this book listed on the LEFT hand side of your screen, click on it.
When the book page opens up, go to page 213, that is the page that begins
the index of names.
There are several Campbell names mentioned. On page 69 and 70 is Rev. Colin
Campbell and family.
On page 19, and 115 are other Campbell men mentioned.
I am not related to any Campbell families in New Jersey, but I do have
information on a Willem Campbell, who was in New Jersey very early, and
infomation about him may be seen on
www.bergencountyhistory.org/pages/cchousehistory.html
This Willem Campbell built a home there in Bergen Co NJ, and it still stands
and is in use, as of May 1794 this man still had a descendant, named Jacob
Campbell alive, who sold the home.
Hope this helps someone looking for New Jersey Campbell roots. By the way,
the above wedsite has data from PA, DE, MD, NJ.
Best regards,
Lilly Martin
