Actually there is a Moore County in North Carolina today. It is located
next to Cumberland County, of which it was part of until it was in formed
in 1784. The Campbell's that are mentioned, I don't think were part of the
Black and White Campbells that are mentioned. I have done some research in
the area and most, if not all of the Campbells in this area actually
settled the area from Scotland. Most of the ones mentioned actually came
from the Isle of Islay, Jura, and Kintyre. Sorry cuz AT.

I am wondering abt the Campbell's in Moore County, N C. I believe that
This Group of Campbell's were Descendants of the Black & White <Color of
Hair>
Campbell's, as was THE Col. William Campbell With his Over the
Mountain
BOYS,
>From Va & this part of N. C. of <Kings Mountain Battle
Fame> VERY likely
this is
How James Campbell got in to the REV. WAR.
