Hi, I'm looking for information on this couple. George Campbell b.
abt. 1817 in Scotland, married Fannie/Anne Parsons (b. 1821 in
Canada) abt. 1840 in Canada. George was a Blacksmith. I think I
may have found them in the 1871, Hamilton District, Canadian census
index, but I don't have access to the actual census records to check
for certain. District: HAMILTON ( 024 ), Sub-district: St.
Patrick's Ward ( E ), Division: 2, Page: 8, Microfilm reel: C-9927,
Reference: RG31. I would deeply appreciate a look up on this.
The couple had two children confirmed. Henry Franklin Campbell b.
March 5, 1844 in Saltfleet, Wentworth County, Ontario,
Canada. Henry married Mary Jane Durfey in 1868, shortly before they
migrated out of Canada to Jackson County, Michigan. The second
child for George and Fannie was a daughter, who married a Mr. Joyce,
had a son Willie b. 1873 in Ontario. Willie was later found in the
1885, Michigan State census at 11 years old, living with his
grandparents, Henry and Mary Jane Durfey.
I'm interested in finding more on George Campbell and Fannie
Parsons. Fannie or Ann (she went by both names) remarried a Simpson
(not sure where), and was also found widowed in the 1885, Michigan
State census residing with her son Henry and Mary Jane Durfee-Campbell.
Is anyone working on this Campbell branch? I sure would like to get a clue.
~Michelle
