It is really all just a big joke!
The only one I know of is a place in Glencoe that had a joke sign 'Dogs and
Campbells not allowed'. - Other than that, I have certainly never run into
anything of the sort myself or even heard of it, and I do travel round the
country quite a bit. I think that perhaps she is either pulling a leg or
not noticing when hers is being pulled. If you think she is serious, get
her to doucument the places, although I suspect she will be vague and say
she has forgotten.
