Fran,
I'm in Scotland at this point but Montana in August. My son lives in
Missoula and my daughter in Livingston near Bozeman. I usually visit them
each year and work with my son for a while on his summer job in the
mountains, maintaining trails on contract with the NFS - he has gone b ack
to university at U of MT in his early thirties. My daughter has been
director of exhibits at the fishing museum in Livingston for a special Lewis
and Clark project.
I imagine eastern Montana as being rolling wheatfields or rough low hills
with oil wells - I've not been much east of Billings and Hardin.

Diarmid,
I did not know you were in Montana! What part, if I may ask? My Campbells
settled in the eastern part of Montana. So your address caught my
attention!
Thank
Fran
