Could be a tie in, Aeneas Campbell, Jr's youngest son left Iredell Co NC
and moved to Wilkes Co GA. I think his name was David Cartwright
Campbell. He is the only family member I have going that way. Aeneas, SR
had a son James but I have not traced him.

Would you look at this information and tell me if you have any information on
Campbell's living in Louden Co. Va. in early 1700's. I don't even know if
these are the same James Campbell's. I have never found anyone researching early
Ga. Campbell's and I know that a Robert Campbell who died in Jackson Co. Ga.
1800. was married to a Gardner from Augusta Co. Va. Never found anyone
researching this family. I even wrote to the Sec. of the Campbell Clan and she only
had information on one John Campbell of early Ga., a banker and unmarried.
JAMES CAMPBELL: Deed records of early Wilkes County Ga. show Henry Dixon and
his wife Elizabeth to James Campbell of Louden County Va. 180 acres on
William Creek. This land would become Warren County in 1794. The papers for
the 180 acres of land were signed on October 6, 1791 with Andrew Campbell as
a witness.
JAMES CAMPBELL: of South Carolina bought ceded land on May 12, 1775 on the
Sharpton Branch of Fishing Creek. James had a wife and two month old daughter
indicating a young man in 1775.
