Do you guys realize that Amherst stills has a day when they make and
sell cane molasses, or, at least they did a couple years ago. Also,
something to do with a Garlic day as well!! Many years ago, the Mays family
from Pleasant View or Forks of Buffalo use to make wonderful sorghum. Cuzn
Marlene Mays Fitzgerald's family I believe. BH

and a glass of cold buttermilk? Not this side of Heaven! We always had a
cane patch for molasses, also, and syrup making was a real neighborhood
event.
