BUT from the record of the Formation of Virginia Counties. Part of the area
that Became Albemarle County in 1744, to Amherst County in 1761 & Nelson
County in
1808 WAS PART of New Kent County in 1654 SO; New Kent 1654 Formed From York
County. Records Burned in 1865, During Civil War. New Kent.

NOW; in 1938 & 39 the Richmond Va. Paper Carried a Story From a Different
County in the Sunday EDITION, ONE of those Stories was ABT The first Campbell
that Came to Va. it was ABOUT him stealing a horse, being put into the James
Town Jail.
The story goes on that this Campbell Man broke Out of the Jail & went to
the Mountains. NOW I would like to get some Cousin who is real good at RESEARCH
to enter the Archives of the Richmond Sunday Paper for 1938 &1930 & help to
