Subject: [CAMPBELL] Julia Campbell
Julia Ann 6/10/1832 (GA) - 6/8/1904 (Talladega Co, AL). Married
Zedikiah
McMath 12/6/1846 in Buena Vista, Marion Co., GA. Children were Indiana,
Sally, Sasea, Earnest Virginia (my great-grandmother), Elijah "Lige"
Zedikiah and
Alma Mae "Babe".
And that's all I know about Julia. Absolutely no other info on her
background. Surely there's at least one cousin out there in internet land
that has
the answer.

Laura,
I am no expert but looking at the 1840 Marion Co., Ga. census, there are
only two Campbells living there. One Archibald and the other is Peter.
Archibald is 50/60 and has no young females and Peter is 40/50. Peter has 2
females between 5/10 and 1 female 15/20 who could probably be your Julia,
since she married Dec. 1846 in Marion Co, Ga.Before this Peter shows up in
Morgan Co., Ga in 1820 & 1830 and in is listed in tax list, starting
around 1823 and is in last tax list in 1832, probably some time after this
he goes to Marion Co., Ga. Peter shows up the same time Charter Campbell
does in Morgan Co. Maybe this will give you something to look into. I didn't
have time look into the Campbells who were in Henry Co. in 1850 but I do
know some of them moved into Randolph Co., Al. around the same time. Martha
