HI: Its been a long time since I have been in touch with you but I am
reading your message of Sept 1, 2006 and I am agreeing with you that the
information I have been given by
Ancestry.com is not correct or verified. I
have searched every possible place for information on Andrew Campbell, my
ggrandfather. I finally received the correct information on his wife and
she was not who they said she was but Mary Letts. I found this on the death
certificate for their daughter. Their son Edmond was in the battle at
Antietam and died later from wounds received. the only one in his Company
to be killed there. I have lots of info on their children but cannot find
where my Andrew was born and who his father was. I believe he was Alanson
Campbell but cannot prove it. My ancestor was Zuriel and in the
revolutionary war, his son was Alanson. I have spent years and lots of
money in this search but am frustrated enough to give it up. "Your Zuriel,
the son of Andrew", this Andrew was a previous generation before my Andrew.

I am very skeptical of the ancestry of Andrew Campbell according to
Ancestry.com and Ancestral File. I don't think this information has
ever
really been verified. I wish someone could give some reliable
sources.
It
think I know where the above information came from and it was a
guess.
After
years of people accepting it, now seems to be taken for granted.
I'd
like to see a record.
My ancestor was Zuriel Campbell, son of Andrew.
