I'll give a bit on the Barbers here. Remember many if not most of the
original patent members were from Jura and Islay Scotland. The Barbers seem
to have been here and married into the lines once land was offered for sale.
Page 115: Smith BARBER (1760- 1847/8), was born in Exeter, RI, the son of
Daniel & his wife, Deliverance TEFFT. As a boy of twelve, he walked from RI
to Greenwich, NY, in 1772 and later married Hannah ROGERS? (1758-1825)-
(she was the sister of Nathan Rogers).
They had eight children. After Hannah's death, Smith married Mehetabel
(BENTLY) COLE. Smith was an original settler at Center Falls where he
operated a cotton ill, a deacon trustee o that church in 1794. His
daughter, Lydia, married Jeduthan Gilbert. (Mclean; WCH 338, 352; Gill

The comments for Joseph say his wife was Elinor (no last name). Also they
were members of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Argyle in
1802. By 1805, he was dead.
Joseph Loudens wife was Jane McConnell
Joseph Louden's son was b 1806, and married Eliza McDougall.
Not sure if I gave you the k-471 of the WC deeds..
2 April 1805, Joseph LOUDEN of Argyle, executor of the estate of Joseph
BARBER, sold 1/2 lot of 117 to Archibald GILLIS. Neil McCONNELEE was
another executor. There was definitely a connection. Since Joseph Louden
married Jane McConnell...I am thinking Neil McConnellee is probably related
to Jane (brother?)
These records are not fully indexed, and some of the page numbers are off.

Margie,
Thank you so much! Although I did have some of this information, I didn't
have it all :-)
Sue
ps Can you determine who Joseph Barber was married to? He lists Loudon's
as nieces and nephews, but I can't find the exact connection. I appreciate
your time and help :-)
