Shelly,
I'd be so very interested in the photos of Albert. My great grandmother,
Martha Campbell b. 1865 had a brother named Albert b. 1861. He named one of
his sons Albert ( I think it was his second born son). My grandmother Ruth
(Martha's daughter) used to laugh about all the Alberts on her side of the
family.
This era and places the photos were taken intrigues me most, as my
grandmother's sister, Marion, lived in Seattle, WA and she and Albert were
close, he visited her often. AND also, my gr. grandmother Martha Campbell
lived in Wisconsin about 1902!!! Could it be??!!
Another thing is that my great aunt Bea (my grandmother's sister) had tons
of ancient family pictures. Unfortunately, when she passed away, my cousins
apparently did not appreciate the value of the old family portraits or other
family heirlooms and auctioned them off. I heard about the auction after
the fact and could do nothing to retrieve the old photos, nor anything
else...that was a very sad day. The pictures that I remember sitting in gr.
Auntie Bea's house on end tables & hanging on the walls in interesting
frames.... gosh, the name Rainer Studio hits a memory... the studio name is
located near the bottom right hand corner of the photo in gold tones. I have
a photographic memory (passed down from my Campbell heritage), but it has
been years since I saw the photos in my aunts house.
I've love to see the photos!! Thank you so much for posting that you had
found them.... and even if the people in the picture turn out not to be of
my family, I am grateful that there are people like yourself willing to find
the family that they belong to. Thank you!
