I know, I know. There are jillions of Campbells from Argyll.
Specifically, I am looking for descendants of Alexander Campbell
(born Muckairn probably 1796) and Isabella McIntosh (born Ardincaple
around 1800). Alexander likely was the son of Alexander Campbell and his
wife Sarah Campbell. But I don't have proof.
Alexander and Isabella had: Alexander, Cathrine, Mary (?), Duncan,
John, Angus, John, Archibald. All were baptized in Glenorchy, Kilchrenan
or Kilmore/Kilbride parishes.
Anybody out there with these families?

Duncan Campbell, son of Duncan Campbell and Catharine MacDougall, was
born 15 April 1861 at Dalintart Farm in Kilmore & Kilbride parish,
Argyllshire, Scotland. He was still there for the 1881 census. But
within a few years, he had left home and was said to have been murdered
in Africa.
Has anyone come across any references to him in family stories or
newspapers?

It has been a while since I have thrown out the fishing line on George
Campbell, born 1850 in Baltimore, married to Margaret Barker or Baker.
Off
spring Howard Jerome, and three girls (names not handy). Anyone with
information? Would be greatly appreciated. Just got back from Scotland
where I got to see the Castle at Inveraray and the ruins at Dollar.
Quite
impressive.
