Do you have your DNA online at either Ancestry.com
We have a brick wall, that has pretty good mortar so far...
Ellis Campbell b 1804 in VA (d 1881 MO)...he named his oldest son Matthew,
next was James Mhelander (Melander, Millender, etc.), Ambrose, Fountaine,
James Mehlander (Mel) named his oldest Elias, then Ewing, William James,
Thomas Clinton, Freman Phineas, etc. There were quite a few over two
marriages (Nancy Welborn, Sarah Jane Sutton).
The Family Tree DNA is under Ellis (contact is Joyce Mitchell). The family
gedcom is there also.
On ancestry, there are several of us...my tree is elliscam82006a.

Had a small crack in my brickwall with the DNA results showing our line of
Kilmarnock Campbells has an 85% chance of a common male ancestor within 8
generations (1700s) of a branch of the House of Craignish and Inverneill
Campbells. (Argyllshire) Our line is proven back to marriage of Matthew
Campbell and Jean Craig in 1784, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.
I would like to touch base with any researchers that have tied into them
prior to 1800s to compare notes. Male Campbell names typically...Matthew,
John, James, Hugh, Thomas.
