Actually, it looks like I must have gotten the genealogy a little out of
sync. Abraham Campbell, b. abt. 1796, lived in Russell County, Virginia;
he was son of Henry Campbell, b. abt. 1761, lived in Russell County and
Pittsylvania County; Henry was son of Abraham Campbell, of Pittsylvania
County. That Abraham was b. abt. 1735. That Abraham did have a son, John, b.
abt. 1767. This John married 1st Catherine Leparde and had at least 2
daughters: Mary Ann, b. abt. 1790 and Catherine Leparde, b. abt. 1802. Now, the
children info I got from other family researchers, but I did find record
of John and Catherine's marriage on June 23, 1787. No other records so far,
but I did find a record of John Campbell, born in Pittsylvania County,
serving in the Revolutionary War.
My father and yours are the 67/67 matches.
