E. Campbell, age 92,
a resident of Grand Court in Morristown, Tennessee, died Wednesday, May 12,
1999,
at Morristown-Hamblin Hospital, Morristown. She had been a resident of
Hamilton from 1932 to 1991.
She married Ralston Campbell on August 6, 1927, and he preceded her in
death on November 21, 1989.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Elks Ladies Auxillary,
active in golf and
bowling leagues with the Lady's Bowling League, honorary life member of the
Elks Lady's Golf League,
and a past board member of the YWCA.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Alice) Welsh of Little River,
South Carolina; three sisters,
Mrs. Anna Howell of Morristown, Mrs. Doris O'Neal of Dallas, Texas and Mrs.
Mary Makuta of Garland,
Texas and two grandsons, Michael Welsh of Fairfax, Virginia and Marc Welsh
of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Charles
Richard Campbell in 1939 and
one brother, David R. Leatherwood.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Wells Funeral
Home Chapel, Waynesville,
North Carolina, with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be
directed to Long's Chapel United Methodist Chruch, Lake Junaluska, North
Carolina 28745 or
Gideon's International, 7420 Jager Court, Cincinnati, Ohio 45230, in her
memory.
