What a big bite I broke off here, hope some of you can help me. I
am the
daughter of James Albert Campbell b.July 1,1917 d. July, 1981 born of John
T. Campbell and Olive Myrtle Macomber.
James A. Campbell brothers and sisters are as follows: Myrtle Olive August
12, 1910 (she married Tyler); William Talbot August 1912, Married Rose
don't
know last name he expired in about 1993 in Washington State, probably
in
or
near Stanton or Arlington; Nellie Emmagene, 1913; Beryl Hartford, I
believe
and his is deceased as well approximately 1956-1958 his wife was
Australian
and took all of her children from Wisconsin and returned to
Queensland
Australia where most of them remain to this day. James Albert (my father)
July 1, 1917 to July 81; Steve Lyle Feb 2, 1926, and lives as far as I am
aware in Spokane with his wife Dorothy. Finally there was Raymond b May
2,
1928 that lived in Kenosha, Wisconsin and moved to somewhere in
Missouri
in
the late 1980's or early 1990's.
I am lead to believe that g.father Campbell John T. was the son of a
James
Campbell that moved to Port Huron, Michigan from Ontario.
Apparently two Campbell boys came to America from Scotland and fought on
opposite sides during the American Revolution (1775 to 1783), I do not
have
names of these two men. The one on the Yankee side supposedly settled
in
Vermont, the one that fought on the King's side settled in Canada where he
became the father of Thomas and James. James and family moved to Port
Huron, Michigan.
Thomas bought land near Osgoode, Ontario and had a family of 13 the oldest
being Ellis b 1810. The others were Nelson, John, David, Thomas,
Alexander,
Albert, William, Jane, Sallir, Rosina, Nancy, and Harriet.
Ellis married Melissa Chamberlin in 1833 and they had 8 children named
Melinda, Thomas, Jane, Nathaniel, Alonzo, William, Lydia, and Adrian.
Nathaniel went west and settled near Lind, Washington dying at Fort
Stilicoom Wash, July 12, 1912
