HI, there are many David Campbell's too. I just printed 12 pages of county
censuses for 1840 for many states for D Campbell and David Campbell. I
didn't know whether to send it all to this list because it is so long. Any
rules on lenth? Marilyn

Subject: Need your opinion
Hi, Folks,
In an effort to make the list better without moderation, I've been testing
some scripts which look for stuff like excessive quoting, attached files,
programs, html coding, or other non-text inclusions. If the script "sees"
these things, it rejects the message and sends it back to the poster with
a note. It is the wording of the notes that I need your opinion. Here's
what I have for the attachments:

Here's the reply for excessive quoting:
Your mail to the mailinglist has been intercepted and
is being returned to you because it it appears to the list server
to contain an excessive amount of quoted material.
Brief quoting is fine, but please quote only for context.
Do not quote other messages in their entirety, or quote
message headers or signature files.
Excessive quoting is a waste of resources.
If you feel that you've edited your message adequately but
it was still returned to you, you can appeal to the administator,

I get copies of the messages that are returned to the poster.
What do you think?
Thanks,
Chris
