Looking for a Captain Campbell that was to arrived in New York around 1760
to 1769.
He stayed in New York for a year before leaving New York. Also would like
to have his passenger manifest names that would have been "Campbell's".
Three Campbells were on board for his trip to New York,
a Father and Mother (John Campbell, Born abt. 1730, and Mary Stuart or
Stewart),
a son named John Campbell, Born in the Northern Highlands of Scotland on
March 5, 1758.
While at sea to New York, the Father and Mother died and were buried at sea.
Captain Campbell during the year in port, found the boy a new family
(unknown). He later found his way to Lancaster, County, PA, where he was in
the Revolution under a Col. James Cunningham, Sixth Battalion, First
Regiment Flying Camp as a Second Lt.
