Hello fellow rooters,
I've been looking for info on my proverbial brick wall for several years.
I hope that some of you recognize this man. Here goes:
CAMPBELL, John Steel(e) b. Mar 1856 in MO (stated on 1900 census, Monet,
Barry Co., MO.
mar Mary Margaret HOUSTON in 1881 in MO.
three children survived: Julia b. 1884 MO, who remained single; Bessie b.
1886 TX; & Claud Houston, b. 1888 MO, my grandfather.
The 1900 census referred to above, also shows that his father was born in
KY and his mother was born in MO.
His occupation is shown as Day Laborer.
This is all that I have so far. Does it ring a bell in anyone's head out
there?
If so, please let me hear from you.
Happy hunting, Take care, and
God Bless,
